Bronze crown from a female burial in tholos tomb 1 at Routsi, Myrsinochori. It is made of two crossing bands, tapering downwardly to a horizontal bronze band. Bronze pins were probably meant to attach the crown to a cloth or leather cover. A golden cross-shaped jewel at the top is made of two gold sheets, decorated with rosettes. The crown from Routsi is considered as the earliest found to this day and as a prototype for the modern European royal crowns.
