Length: 8.5 cm Height: 5.5 cm
Figurine of a bovine from Aggelopoulos chamber tomb 7 at Volimidia, Chora. Yellowish clay. Decorated with red-painted lines, very faded. Animal figurines were very common in the mycenaean period, mainly of bovines and less so of dogs, horses and stags. Among other interpretations, they were considered as offerings to sanctuaries or in funerary riturals or as childern's toys.
