Bronze figurine of a horse, missing the hooves and the tail end. The head, body and tail are schematically rendered in cylindrical fashion. Two incised rings at the base of the head, near the body. The mouth is shaped with a double groove. Τhe figurine was handed by a resident of Akovitika, Kalamata. A sanctuary of Poseidon was partly excavated here, next to the river Aris. Its period of use was between 1000 BCE and the 4th cent. BCE.
