Bronze foot of a tripodic lebes (cauldron) from the sanctuary of Zeus Ithomatas at the top of Mt. Ithome, ancient Messene. Linear decoration in four zones. Its finding confirms the worship of Zeus Ithomatas at the top of the homonymous mountain as early as the protogeometric/ geometric period (9th-8th cent BCE).
